The dodo marked out a race course in a circle. 渡渡鸟划定了一个圆形赛道。

The party was placed along it, and they began running and stopping whenever they liked. 众人沿着赛道站好，随心所欲地跑跑停停。

After half an hour, they were all quite dry again. 半小时后，他们都又干透了。

The dodo suddenly called out, The race is over! 渡渡鸟突然喊道：“比赛结束了！”

Everyone crowded round, asking, But who has won? 大家都围了过来，问道：“可是谁赢了呢？”

The dodo thought for a long time. 渡渡鸟想了很久。

At last he said, Everybody has won, and all must have prizes. 最后他说：“每个人都赢了，大家都得有奖品。”

But who is to give the prizes? they asked. “可是谁来发奖品呢？” 他们问道。

Why, she is, of course, said the dodo, pointing to Alice. 渡渡鸟指着爱丽丝说：‘就是她呀！’

Alice had no idea what to do. 爱丽丝不知道该怎么办。

In despair, she put her hand in her pocket 绝望中，她把手伸进口袋

and pulled out a box of candies and handed them round as prizes. 掏出一盒糖果 并把它们当奖品分发了。

There was exactly one for each of them. 刚好每人一个。

Alice also had a thimble, 爱丽丝还有一枚顶针，

which the dodo solemnly presented back to her as her own prize. 渡渡鸟郑重地把它还给了她 作为她自己的奖品。

Just then she heard footsteps. 就在这时，她听到了脚步声。

The white rabbit was back, looking for his gloves. 白兔回来了，正在找他的手套。

He saw Alice and shouted, 他看到爱丽丝，喊道：

Why, Marianne, run home this moment “玛丽安，你立刻回家！

and fetch me a pair of gloves and a fan. 给我拿一副手套 和一把扇子来。”
